Crying out to God

Ever since I became pregnant with my second son I have been battling depression. It was a hard pregnancy and even though I love my sons more than anything I can't shake my depression. I have everything in the world to be happy about and I can't be happy. I see a Doctor (who is a Christian) and take my prescribed medicine which helps but I still feel like I'm in a hole. I cry out to God constantly for help. I wonder what is wrong with me. Negative thoughts invade my brain daily. I wonder if God has stopped listening to my prayers but I know that is just the devil trying to break me down. I must say he is doing a good job of it. Making me doubt myself, and even hate myself. I do know that God is there and in the back of mind I know he is listening and working in His own way. But that doesn't really make me feel better. I feel like a failure. A complete failure. My family is wonderful and they help me a lot but I still can't shake this feeling. It's like nothing in the world can bring me out of it. I feel selfish for constantly praying for myself like a baby crying out to God but I do not know what to do. Please pray for me. I am lost.

hope

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful." - Hebrews 10:23

Sometimes it is so hard to keep hope when a situation seems hopeless. Thankfully we have a God who keeps His promises. As long as we keep our faith in Him and strive to live in His word and carry out His will He will take care of us.

choices

I heard someone on the radio say

"It's not about what choices we made or what we did or didn't become. It's having faith in God where we are now."

Knowing that He has a plan for us and no matter where are in life we need to just have faith in Him always. He is in control. This goes back to what I was saying about making the wrong choices, leaving the path of God. It's easy to think that once you have made mistakes that there is no hope. You've gone so far off the path that you are ruined. Well that's not the case. Nomatter where we are in our lives all we have to do is lay it out to God. Repent, give it to God and He will forgive us and He can get us back on track.

I am so blessed that He is my God. The only God who sent His Son so that we could be forgiven. How gracious. How merciful. The least we can do is worship Him, live in His word and do His will.

Faith

I once heard someone say that God couldn't turn a square into a circle. I believe it was a preacher and he was trying to make some sort of point. All I remember thinking is yes he can. God can turn a square into a circle. He's God. He can do anything.
